I've got a stock 2002 quad cab SB with almost 180K miles on it (smarty chip on ECONOMY). The previous owner replace the back part of the exhaust w/ 4" pipe and a muffler, but not the front. except for the muffler it's all pretty rusty now. Looking for something not to noisey and no drone on the freeway. I saw the Diamond Eye 4" Turbo back exhaust for around $360 plus shipping and tax. Any of you have these and can comment on them or should I be looking at something else? comments and suggestions appriciated.
Thanks,

Wow, Looks like the MBRP is the way to go. I guess it's not worth trying to save $100 on the Diamond Eye system. Thanks for the comments and recommendations.

I never could justify the cost of MBRP, they simply aren't that much better IMHO.

Flo-Pro is what dad and I put on our 3rd gens. Great kits, very nice clamps, and perfect fitment. We went with the muffler free versions and installed a Donaldson M090544. No drone, plenty of rated flow, and great sound but not loud.

I expected to loose power with the Donaldson. It feels just as responsive.

I bought the MBRP exhaust only without muffler. Hated it towing and bought the MBRP muffler. It made little difference. It’s simply a straight thru at only around 24” long. Waste of money.

when he am back to my shop next May someone can have it.

I actually bought mine be thru NAPA. It is a Donaldson. Anyone know the NAPA part number?

I am not near my truck for a while. I told my Son that I paid around $110 for mine but I have not been able to find any price close to that online. He is wants to put one on his 15.

@Cummins12V98 sounds like you also have the M090544 as it's the popular 51"x9" muffler. No surprise that you didn't feel any performance loss as it's rated for just over 2000 cfm at 3inhg of restriction, ie plenty of flow for these motors.

That muffler is $214.797 from NAPA.

Ryder fleet products has always had the best price I could find on Donaldson mufflers. I got my M090544 in March of 2018 for $117 to the door. Unfortunately it looks like they closed their doors this last summer.

I did the exact same thing.

Napa has a "An Economical Replacement For The Original Equipment Part" Donaldson #M090544 crossed over to Napa# EXH 22936 for online price of $107. I am going to order one.

Post some photos when you get it. I’m curious if it’s the same on the inside.

Mine said Donaldson right on it from NAPA. I named a friends wife Princess. She rides in the back when towing the boat to go fishing. It was really loud back there so I named the muffler after her.

I have a Jardine 4" system, not sure available currently. It came with a MBRP muffler. The system is aluminumized steel. Can't recall exactly when installed, but guessing in 2002 and truck now has 315k, zero rust or issues. I would probably go with MBRP system if it is 4" mandrel bent. I realize it is a diesel and doesn't typically have as much water in exhaust as a gasser, but this is the longest life if an exhaust system on any vehicle I have ever owned.

Pictures didn't turn out all that great, dark and cloudy out.
