I fill up every Sunday at the Kroger’s close to our church. Many times I see a fellow in a 4th Gen dually with the bed filled with tanks pulling a bumper pull “tanker trailer” that’s @ 12’ long that is nothing but fuel tanks. It’s a neat rig. I’ll try to get a pic of it next time I see it. He uses both sides of a pump island to fill it all up. He said he goes to remote excavation locations a sells them fuel. He said with all the points and discounts it’s much cheaper than he can buy red fuel at the distributor.

I had a big discount at Safeway. They cut me off at 25 gallons. Last time I shopped at Safeway.

couldn’t even fill my truck.
Some states, kroger limits the discount to 25 gallons as well.
Points at Murphy USA only good for 20 gallons.
I always plan where to buy my fuel ahead of each trip I make, have a few different fuel price search apps.
The extra 57 gallons of fuel I can carry in the aux tank allows me to save LOTS of $$$ every year.

Here in Cheyenne the local Exxon stations have a set up where you can use your Safeway/Albertson's points at their stations. Cuts you off at 25 gallons if I remember right. Won't fill my dually, but will fill the wife's 1500. Last time I saw prices that low at the pump I was only legally able to drive the farm equipment. We figure it saves a little and the fuel seems to be decent so might as well save some money.

Kroger points can be used at Shell stations, but you can only get the discount 10 cents at a time, not like at Kroger where you can get up to a dollar off per gallon.

Chevron through Vons gives you a whopping 20 cents per gallon and you're limited to 25 gallons.
This is in San Diego and the pump reads "contains 5-20% biodiesel."

At some Shell stations you can get the full $1 off per gallon. In Ohio Shell at Interstate 71 and Route 35 between Washington Court House & Jamestown, Ohio. The Shell in Plain City, Ohio gives the full discount as well.

Used to keep extra diesel fuel cans in my 2500 when I filled up to make sure I’d save $35.

Finally ran in to him again Sunday and snagged a pic just as he was pulling out. The Ram is gone, he was driving a new GMC.

WOW! Nice looking trailer! Wonder if he's had any issues with DOT for having that much fuel? Would've loved to have had something like that when fuel was below $2 a while back. Would've been worth it to take a hit in the wallet now that fuel back around $3 now! I take full advantage of the 100 gal transfer that I have on truck! DW doesn't understand why I'll stop and top it off when I come across a good price on fuel. Right not, average cost of fuel in tank around $2.55, plus I can refuel whenever I want too! Fuel in my area ranges from $2.85 to $3.50 with best $ at Sam's club @ $2.71 this AM. Might need to take a trip over since below 50 gals in transfer. Enjoy the day! Enjoy these trucks!
