From what I have heard its a PITA to change out and dont want to fail on the road, not worth doing twice IMHO to save some coin

I read the reviews on genos, all positive. I to would spend the extra for a good part but some markups are pretty crazy then you find out it is from the same manufacturer.

It’s not a bad job to do at one time I was so broke I pried the seal out of one repacked it and glued the seal back in and went back to work . Not really wanting to do that on a fresh engine build though

I might have a spare, want me to look tonight when I get home.

It would be possibly just the bearing or the whole unit, it would be from Genos and not used. Or it's gone.

No such luck.

Actually found the old one on the floor so must have swapped it out.

Could not find the bearing, or even where I bought them.

There is a note in my system at work that pops up whenever a counter man plugs in the Cummins part number that offers the NTN part as a cheaper alternative.

It’s a note that I put in many years ago so...

I can assure you that I did my due diligence before putting that note in there...there are only two ways it happened..

a) Cummins directly referenced the NTN number in their system..

b) We took the part number directly from that bearing when it was removed.

Either way NTN made the bearing so that’s the brand I would buy. They last a long time.

We source them at a local bearing supply.

That’s what I was wondering
