Question on small oil leak

2007,2500, 5.9 diesel, 6 speed stick. Need a part number

I'm working on a tired 325k mi 06 3500 that leaks oil from the front and rear seals, but receipts show the seals were probably replaced with Mopar parts approx 20k mi and 18mo ago when the crank was removed for grinding/polishing.
I pulled the trans to replace the trashed clutch with a Luk 05-185 kit and am cleaning up the rear seal before re-installation. The rear main seal (stamped 3970548) is installed visibly crooked and has a few tears in it. The crank seal surface is smooth but definitely has a vee groove down the middle of the wear surface, but I can't tell if the groove is from wear, or if it's is normal for this sleeve.
I plan to remove this sleeve and install the 3926126 Cummins repair sleeve/seal/installer kit. Any hints/lessons on old sleeve removal and new sleeve and seal installation?
Thx!

It should have directions for some type of sealer between the crank and sleeve. Make sure you do not ding up the edge of the sleeve on install. Seal is installed dry.

I’ve removed front sleeves by whacking them with a ball peen hammer. It loosens it up enough to to get it off.

Thanks - I was able to pull the old sleeve off of the crank hub with a 3 jaw puller... It nicked the crank surface a little and required a little file touch up, but the new sleeve should cover that up. I have to admit I've never seen a wear sleeve wear worse than the original crank, but I guess that happens with the high mileage motors. Also interesting that the last guy used a stock seal over the thick repair sleeve, which is probably why it was gouged, torn, and leaking in such a short time.

Also interesting that the last guy used a stock seal over the thick repair sleeve,

Last person who put a front main in mine pressed the alignment ring tool (not the depth setter but another ring to align it in the timing cover) into the crank as an added measure to keep it from leaking. Found that out when I was installing a new front seal and sleeve.
