what's in new trucks now CP3 or 4?

2021 MY on. They figured out the CP4 mistake and corrected it going forward. Unknown what, if anything, the 19-20’s will get. Regardless one can see correcting the course is one reason Cummins is a better choice than other engines that continue to push the CP4 on their customers.

It’s not a CP3 as we all know it, but an improved next generation derivative of it.

It’s a CP-ISB21.

Rumor is that the CP4 was a stopgap between the CP3 and the CP-ISB21 while development was being finished.
