I need a Vacuum Pump Oil Supply Hose for my '95 engine. By my ESN, 56206518, QuickServe tells me it's Cummins part #3925100. I looked on Geno's and the 3925100 is listed as fitting '89-'94 and they describe it as the "Short" hose. They also have a 3923084 Hose listed as fitting '94-'98. I have an ESN for a '98 and when I look it up, it calls for the 3923084.

I wasn't aware there was a difference. Does anyone know if the 3923084 will work on my '95?

Part # 3923084 is the one I purchased from Geno's for my '96. I do not recall ever seeing the short version on their website or anywhere else while shopping for the replacement. It may be worth a call to ask why they offer it. Sometimes if I want a more qualified understanding of the vacuum pump and this hose, calling Mr. Gould is good reference too. https://www.fixinrams.com/

The 3925100 is listed in their "'1st Gen" section. If I'd not looked my engine up on QuickServe by the ESN I wouldn't have seen it on Geno's website, either.

I ordered the 3923084. We'll see....

I used that on my 96.

It was $50.34 back in 2016 from my local Cummins shop. Looks like he gave me a decent price, some places are over $100 for that deal.

I'm sure you get awesome pricing.

Wow, I forgot to update this one. The 3923084 was the correct one.

ID, have you replaced the hose? Rebuilt the VP?

I ask because when I discovered I was still leaking oil after my reseal, I first thought it was the fitting on the VP, replaced it, still leaking. Replaced the hose, still leaking. Finally put some dye in and found the o-ring between the two halves of the VP was actually what was leaking. Anything from the IP oil line down that leaks will run down to the lowest point which is the fitting on the VP for the hose. With fresh oil, it's near impossible to see the oil and where it's coming from, at least for my old eyes...

Replaced the 37 JIC fitting on pump with https://amazon-asin.com/asincheck/?product_id=B07GM1X4SX
The feed line with https://www.genosgarage.com/product...k-oil-line-3923084/engine-replacement-parts-2
Gould Gear & Electric Inc. in Murphy, NC rebuilt the VP in Nov 2018.

The oil oily appears at the pump feed line fitting, just below where the metal tube flares and mates up with the 37 JIC fitting in the pump.

That’s another thing. Those fittings, even though Cummins says JIC, are actually the 45* SAE “Bull Nose”. My hose man told me the JIC should still seal fine, but they are the 45*. Do you still have the old fitting you took out? Check the angle. Mine and the one in the VP a buddy gave me were the 45*.

Unless you did something besides tighten the hose to the fitting, I’d get two of those brass fittings, and try your hose on one of them. I’d bet it will seal to the hose. If not, put the second one in and get a new hose.

If you still have the old hose or you have the new one off, take it with you. I’d go with brass, it will seal better. The SAE and the JIC have the same 7/16-20 thread. The only difference is the angle.
