Sometimes new 2022 truck might have to be out side for maybe a month not being driven when it’s really cold so I want a small trickle charger on the two battery’s Old truck had a plug in on the passenger side battery. It kept both battery’s charged and warm. Should work the same for new truck. What about the electronics before I plug it in and burn something up ?? Do the new trucks have parasitic draw like some cars. The computer etc?

if i let my 18 sit for couple weeks it goes in too "battery saver mode." so yes, there is a draw when they sit. i have a battery tender just that reason. just hook it to 1 battery. the other will also be maintained. nothing to worry about in my opinion. cheers! :)

Costco usually carries a version of the Battery Tender. Anything will be better than just letting it sit.

I said it before, i had bad results with "Tenders" it seems like they slowly destroyed my battery's over time.
So I switched to an ordinary charger and a timer that switches it on once month for 24h. A regular charging cycle.

During the six months before I took my 15 in to have my big beautiful AISIN ruined I bet I only started it two times with it cranking as usual.

I only like tenders when there is a constant draw, such as these new trucks.

Much different sitting in below zero temps for extended intervals. I have to keep a trickle charger on mine as well in the winter or it will go into battery saver mode, this with batts that individually pass a load test.

If I didn’t have the keyless enter n’ go I think I could go longer without a tickle charger, at least in the summer.
