I was worried about that stupid mirror. But mine does not have it so I’m happy. Mine folds up when the campers on very nicely. Just drive it with outside mirrors like a big truck

Maxcare with the longest term and the lowest deductible you can afford. Maxcare has always paid for itself for me.

Note, you can buy the maxcare online way way cheaper than you can from the dealership.

Earl

I my case I told the dealership what I could get online and they came REALLY close to it. I bought a 8 yr 120K 100 deductible Maxcare for something like $2450. Never had a claim against it. It did assure that I got a loaner or rental for the 6 different recalls and a campaign or two. I sold the truck in March after 5.5 years of ownership and got $720 back for cancelling it. I was happy that I never had to use it.

So my dealer just called. Check in the mail for $5551 2 to 3 weeks. Said he does Max Care also can meet or beat their prices I told him I would keep them in mine so should I wait on Max Care or do it now. I have a 3 year factory and 5 year power train???

As Earl stated above the price goes up the longer you wait. Given that one can not make hardly anything on money sitting in a bank account, it sort of makes sense to go ahead with it now. You will have 2500 to 3K left over from your refund coming in 2 to 3 weeks after getting a good Maxcare policy.

Are you sure you can actually get unlimited miles on the diesels? Maybe they have changed. I would just buy it now and be done with it. Price goes up if you wait and they may not even offer it after some point. Their warranty costs are killing them.

Ok we are set. Sold old 99 today. She was a good old truck and I miss her. But now she’s someone else’s problem and sweetheart. A catch a 22 I suppose. Life goes on This one stays stock. Thanks for the help

I know when I sold my 01 a few years ago it was great getting a new truck after 17 years but I had a real bond with the 01. Mainly due to all the work I had done to it over the years. As you know back then bombing them was the thing to do (ok not for everybody). And back then the diesel performance industry was nothing like it was years later. It took a lot of trial and error on owners parts before the industry caught up. Even today I can hear one of those things coming and have to take a look. Heck even my wife will hear one and say something about it. The 17 I just sold no bond at all just another vehicle, not that I didnt like it but it definitely was not the same. The 22 I suspect will be the same. Performance wise , at least for me, no need to change it from stock. Some items need to be added for functionality but wont need to touch the engine or trans to make it better. I have already added a few doohickeys to it. Hoping to install the b&w gooseneck this weekend. Have a headache rack and toolbox on order for it though I wont see them for a while. Need to crawl under it and check out how I am going to mount my on board air system (fyi any one looking for a compressor make sure and take a look at the outback extreme compressors this will be the third truck and about 20 years and still going just like new living under the truck the entire time).

Maxcare, Added care or the powertrain? 2019 Ram 3500 MC Dually HO cummins and Aisin.
Thanks for all opinions....truck is a limited and I just turned over 12,000 miles.
To answer the specifics of Max, Added, or Powertrain... 20-30 years ago, Powertrain would have sufficed. I had Added on both my Rams to cover other mechanical things like HVAC. Today, it's the electronics that need to be covered, and that's why everyone recommends Max. With virtually everything controlled by computer, a primary module (powertrain, body control, etc.) can really ruin your day by taking a lot of functions with it. The infotainment touchscreen and/or EVIC can go*poof* - most lesser service plans won't cover that.
