I had a concern about the A/C cooling fins being damaged on my 08 due to the grill openings. I installed a A/C condenser guard that Geno's Garage sells to protect the A/C Condenser fins this has done a fairly decent job. I have had this on my truck since April of 08. And believe it or not the guard is selling for the same price as it was sold in 08. This is in the latest catalog fall of 2021 #114 on page 8.

My 02, 03, 09 and 2017 all had those guards. One of the first thing I do when I get a new truck is order filters, guards and locking fuel caps. EDIT FROM GENOS.
