I don't see any for the 2nd gen. I assume you are talking about the factory type, complete assembly, manual or electric? I think you are the guy that has no use for them?

These are electric but they have manual too.

Your right they don’t have them anymore. And your also right I hate them worse than I hate anything but haven’t had much luck finding the good ones. and One of my new style ones is broke

Hmm... I have the newer style mirrors that rotate up for towing. I believe they are Mopar and electric. Work wonderfully and, no I don't drive around with them up all the time.

1AAuto.com sells the good ones, I used them on my truck and a second set on my buddies truck. No problems what so ever with them.

You need some of these.

My truck, ‘98 2500 QCSB, never had a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch in it, came with them. When a truck comes with them, they use a HUGE insert to thread the bolts into. I removed mine and had to grind the inserts to remove them. The holes the inserts are in are @ 1/2”.

my 94 had them could see everything and did shake and rattle like the cheap plastic junk does

Then you need to figure out why your truck shakes and rattles or find some smoother roads to drive on. If the truck’s not shaking and rattling, the mirrors won’t, either.

Going 75 down the freeway those plastic pieces of crap shake in the wind you can’t see anything and the trucks drive and ride fine . They both gave the plate that is supposed to stiffen up the mirrors . When you get on a gravel road the mirrors are complete junk at anything over 5 mph

If you drive a dually you will because you can’t see anything unless they are up

Nope, not a dually. But it seems to be a thing around here to have the mirrors flipped up. I guess that it helps show off the chrome shocks and suspension, and the tennis shoe tires on 22" rims on a 4x4 that gets detailed every week by the mobile service.

Don't get excited Dudes. If that is your bag, I can deal with it. I guess they are referred to as "Street Trucks"?

Mine has a very nice patina that has taken 21 years to achieve by polishing off road. LOL
