They ain't making mechanical 12 valves any more. I was a Cummins Diesel mechanic for 50 years. You don't need a computer to talk to this engine.

A quick search on Truck Trader showed 40 trucks. I used '94-'98, all drives, all models with a Cummins. The prices ranged from $4.5k (junk), to $70k for a fancy dually with 6k miles.

I sold the truck in my avatar last February. ‘98 12-Valve RWD quad cab, Goerend auto, 500K miles, absolutely no rust, leather interior, and absolutely no problems. I listed it at $10K here on TDR, $12K on craiglist. After four months it sold for $6,700. There were fewer trucks and more money then.
