A word of warning from my experience, every time you pull the stick out, it pulls fluid up into the tube, so if you don't wait and let the tube drain, you will (or CAN) get a false reading after several "attempts."

Yeah, especially after topping it off.
I like to read mine after a long drive, still running, then the dipstick tube is as dry as possible. Getting the most reliable readings then.

Yes, he’s referring to the TRANSMISSION filters.

Ozy’s Swiss, so sometimes the words he uses aren’t exactly the words you or I would uses, oil/fluid.
Good Morning guys,
I dropped my truck off for my appointment today for diagnostic test as you guys recommended. My question getting back to the transmission filters, Are these filters in the area where the pan has to be removed to be replaced ?? If so, I will have them remove the pan and check for shaving and also replace the filters. Thank you so much, I feel that we are getting close to diagnosing my issue with all of your guys help. Thank you for your willingness to help.

Yep in the pan, one is a spin on filter looks like an unpainted oil filter, other is a newer style Transmission filter deal.

Getting them seated and no extra seals left in is important when you are DIY, to ensure they are properly seated at times.

Good info Tim, thank you. Update, I had a call this afternoon from the Transmission place. They asked me if I had my transmission serviced recently. I told them yes, it was done at a Dodge Dealership in MI. in July and then I drove it to Fl. probably put 2000 miles on it if that. He said, the transmission was 2 quarts low and no signs of leaks. He thinks that may have been my problem. He was gonna keep it another day and test it again tomorrow with the proper fluids added. I hope this was my problem, if so, I will be talking to the service manager at that dealership and give him a good tongue lashing. This is the 2nd issue with that dealership with service. The first was a leaking pinion seal that they replaced.

With two quarts low you can experience some shifting issues, especially in hard corners.

And like I said, this transmission is hard to read, mine once was overfill by a workshop by two quarts which resulted in severe foaming and loss of holding capacity, means it slipped pretty bad.

Well, I will find out today sometime and let you all know. If all is good, I'm gonna ask them if I brought up the engine oil and filter and fuel filter if they will change it for me and I will pay them the labor rate. This way I will be ready for my trip back to MI. in about 3 weeks. I will post back later. Have a good day.

UpDate,
I just heard from the Transmission place, he told me that the lunge is still present when breaking even after he added the 2 quarts of fluid. He also was puzzled by the line pressure was at 119 and said the normal pressure is around 65. I'm not exactly sure what all that means. He asked me if I had a chip and I said no. I have added nothing on this truck other than a Banks cold air return. He said he was going back to his tech to dig deeper. Any thoughts why the line pressure is almost double ?? I did tell him that when the truck was new in 07 it was in the dealership more than I drove it because of check engine lights and particulate filter clogging. Any thoughts please ??

Well the Computer should give him an answer to this question.
The 68RFE is fully capable for electronic diagnosis and 100% computer controlled.
I demand from a Transshop today's that they have all the equipment for diagnostics that are needed.

Well, the facility has several cars in it, pretty clean for a trans shop. It was near the end of the day and I seen a couple people with push brooms sweeping up in the bays. I met the owner and his wife who they both work there. He said he does have all the diagnostic equipment. He said something about he might have to get his programmer to re set the computer from 119 to 60 I think that what he said, anyways, I am comfortable so far with the trans shop that my truck is in. They said they have been in business in the community since 1980. I will continue to update when I have answers.

UDATE,
Got a call from the owner of the trans shop late this afternoon. The owner called and said come get your truck. To my surprise I said WHAT!!!!!, He said his computer guy did some changes and along with the 2 quarts of added trans fluid that was low,he said the truck drives great now, no lunges and brake pull through. He said to come get it and drive it for the weekend and see what I think. He didn't charge me a dime. Again, just drive it for the weekend and to let him know on Monday. I am completely blown away at this point. I picked the truck up and drove it home, its about 25 mile away, it drove great, all the symptom's that I had experienced were gone. I will post back after a weekend evaluation. On another note, I stopped at the Chrysler dealership parts department and picked up a new fuel filter and it was over100 bucks !! I remember I think the last time I bought one it was $50.00. Are you guys using another fuel filter other than Mopar ?? If so, can you tell me which one to buy and how much you paid ?? Have a good weekend you all.

Genos Garage normally has good prices for Mopar & Fleetguard filters: https://www.genosgarage.com/
Edit: noticed you have an 07, take a look see at what Baldwin has for filters if you don't like Fleetguard prices.

Glad you got it took car of. Was this Inline Performance you took it to?
I called and talked to the owner of Inline Performance, very nice guy, in fact he has the exact same truck as mine. I talked to him for quite a while. He told me that he was short employees, and it would be several weeks before he could take my truck. Since I am getting ready to head North I found a place in Brooksville, Fl. that was recommended by a friend that is a Barber up that way. You know Barbers, they know the local businesses and the good and the bad. I checked the reviews before I made the phone call and they were overwhelmingly positive, family owned and operated since 1980.They were able to get me in before Inline. Both owners know each other with all good things to say. I will keep you posted. I really really do appreciate all you have done to help me out. Blessings my friend.

Looks like 07.5 most likely based on the Mopar prices at Genos. Fleetgaurd can be used. Are filters returnable to the dealer? If so I would take the savings on this and give Genos a shot. Also, in regards to engine oil, I run Mobile 1 total synthetic for turbo diesel trucks. I have been using Fram oil filters for years 3972AA made for synthetic oil. What do you guys use ??

See what others think.

Mopar

Mopar $88.64 Shipped to FL.

Or

Fleetgaurd

Fleetgaurd $54.63 Shipped to FL.
Thanks for looking into this Tim, I don't have the Mopar paperwork in from of me but I think the oil filter at the dealership parts department was 131.00 dollars, I get a 25% discount on part being a retiree so with discount and tax I think I paid 110.00 for the filter, they are brand new. So it looks like at Genosgarage is still cheaper, thank for checking into this, I will remember this for my next oil change.

Final UPDATE,
Just to let you all know how this all played out. First, I would like to thank everyone with there input to help me with this issue, your helpfulness was GREATLY appreciated. Now, I got my truck back yesterday and it runs fantastic !! The invoice states that they added the 2 quarts of trans fluid that was low from the dealership doing a trans service this past June. All issues have been resolved and the vehicle runs great. There was 3 codes that were evident and I will have to start another Thread to get some help with that. Thanks again everyone and safe travels
