Looking at Glaciers Kit for my 2005

They include the Wix FF5320 fuel filter , says: 2 micron filtration.

Ive read people post a Baldwin filter is best filtration .

Is that Wix FF5320 that Glacier include just as good? Or is that Baldwin filter finer filtration than that Wix?

what is the baldwin # and specs?

Any of you guys remove / bypass you OE filter , Maybe use one of Glacier twin filter kits?

Is that a oe Dodge factory add-on?

That "best" fuel filter was a baldwin or was it donaldson?

Is the Fuel heater just for below freezing weather? I see some delete adapters

I run that setup for several years, it is a good one.
I just went away with it because it is hard to source these filters abroad.

Make sure to get the whole kit and not only the filter.

IIRC the original Mopar SDFK used a 1"-14 center thread for fuel filters, which is a very standard fitting, but then changed it to a smaller proprietary fitting so that Dodge owners could not buy their filters from other manufacturers.

For awhile, the original SDFK were on closeout and available very cheaply like this one, but I do NOT think this is one of those as it fits up to 2012 trucks.

That said, I hope others chime in here, because my memory aint what it used to be.

I went with FASS system - which I wouldn't buy anymore too.

But it uses Standard 1"-14 Filters which are available all over the place.
Filters I use either Fleetgard or Donaldson.

Today I'd build my own system with AN plumbing and a standard filter head, this is so easy a Kindergarten kid could do it.
Everything needed is available from big A with little search.

Yes that is what I am remembering but a quick call to Genos tomorrow will confirm or contradict my memory.

Doesn't really matter. Only thing you want to look for is that the inlet and outlet threads aren't to big. 1/2" NPT is just fine, 3/4" NPT works to. Piping and Hoses is 3/8" standard. 3/8 equals to 6AN, so look for 6AN connections here with the appropriate NPT threads.
