I believe Dodge upgraded the pump in 2008 but then discontinued the part. You can get a new aftermarket pump like a Cardone or find a good used one in a salvage yard. That's what I did.

I went with Cardone new through Rockauto and no regrets, serves me well, no noise no problems for the last 50k.

Did you get a Cardone for a 2008 or for a 2004.5??

04.5, should be the same pump as it is an upgrade for our system. So called ZF pump.

instructions for repair of PSP can be found on TDR, drain pump res, leave lines on, remove pump from block, bring up to the top of engine bay, separate res from pump, best part! Napa O-ring part# 4629x10 made of Viton, much better than original O-ring. Clean pump, res, and area it leaked on before reassemble, price is 65 cents for O-ring , I bought 6, haven't had any leaks in four years, this was on a 2003 5.9, research and see if same pump was used for yours, better than cost of a new one
