When my wife goes for a morning walk she takes a bag to collect empties. There's a few beer cans and coolers every single day. Wine bottles too.

Interesting the S-10 that hasn't been built for 12 years is in second place and the relatively new 4 Series is third, but the worst part of that graphic is "Drivers per 1,000 with one or more DUI citations on their record."

I still can't believe people drink and drive. Just ain't worth the risk.

plenty of people do or did.. I got away with it hundreds of times in my driving lifetime... but as they say, a driver has to get away with it every time but the cops only have to be right once.
I was just lucky..

Do know one guy who beat 7 DUI's for a variety of reasons... but when he got his 8th and his attoreny told the judge it was his clients first offense, the judge said what about the other 7 failures to adjudicate.

I have a hard time knowing how anyone comes up with a statistic like that? Realistically, when charged with a criminal offense like DUI, the authorities don't list the vehicle in the charges..

It's not the authorities, it's the insurance companies that compile the list of vehicles. That's where the lists of vehicles with average damage costs along with many other statistics come from.

It's all in the way they gather the information.

From Insurify's web page:

Insurify is a digital insurance agent licensed in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. that connects users with real-time car insurance quotes directly from 100+ providers. This means we have access to more than 100 million verified car insurance quotes – with more added every day – that allow us to analyze the latest trends in car insurance prices. Furthermore, our real quotes account for shifts in consumer behavior in response to rising auto insurance rates, unlike quote estimates based on rate filings. Check out the data and visualizations below to explore car insurance rates and driver behavior at the state and national levels.
...
About this data
When users apply for insurance through Insurify, they provide information required for receiving car insurance quotes, including their state of residence, average daily mileage, and any traffic citations currently on their driving record.
This would lead me to believe the stats are inclusive of people with "particular driving issues" looking to get a break on costs incurred due to the errors of their ways.
Stats are bendable and fickle depending on the used data sets.
Then I question, in this day and age of AI (artificial intelligence - fuzzy logic - or fake information): Is this a source used by the industry explaining why my insurance jumped significantly on my obedient and peaceful RAM 2500 this last cycle?

When my wife asked our agent why our insurance had gone up despite not having a claim in over 10 years (last was a deer collision, "non fault ") the reply was, "inflation has driven up the cost of everything o_O

My wife asked again, how does that specifically affect US being accident/ticket free for so long, no new vehicles, all current vehicles 10+ years old, etc etc.

My wife being the witty sarcastic cuss-tomer she is already knew the real answer, she just enjoys feeling people on the other end squirm before she tells them their services are no longer needed.
