unfortunately, if you live in the Pacific Ring of Fire, you have to expect that fire will occur just like me living in Hurricane Alley, Hurricanes are going to do their thing.
For you and myself just hope the wind blows the other way.

Where’s the bear hunt? No body knows . In 1992 the winds were out of the west. . I lived in southwest alaska then (Dillingham ) we flew by it. Jets will not fly in if there’s any ash

It's fairly close to Spurr. About 80 miles west of Wasilla! Can't do much but wait and hope!

I was just up there, too bad… would have been cool to see.

Got a great view of it on the flight out, which was the only clear day I was there.

Yes it’s awesome to see. In 1992 we flew in and back out to Dillingham and it was very active

I’m trying to recall if I was up there in the summer of 92 or not, but I don’t recall seeing it erupting. I would only have been traveling thru Anchorage on my way to King Salmon.

I haven’t been to Charlie’s since 2007, and haven’t worked there since 2002 (I think). Was also there in 2004 and 2006 but I wasn’t working for Jon those years.
