It's behind the starter, on the side of the block.

Could be the upper radiator hose also. I would look around, pressurize the cooling system and check for leaks. With coolant on the master cyl I'd look for a leak towards the front of the truck, being blown back.

I will be going to the mechanical pump set up in the spring.

I like my Helix 2, spools turbo quicker, lower egt, less smoke, about 1 mpg increase. Motor feels stronger I think because of the quicker turbo spool.

You could try welding it. I think I would just pick up a new alternator.

Cleaned mine tonight with Shout laundry pre-soak. Nasty black dirt was running out before I even had the chance to spray the entire prefilter. Rinsed with water and that was it clean as new. No scrubbing just spray and rinse.

Love my Helix2, it spools turbo faster, lowers egts, extends powerband if you have the fuel for it. I also picked up about 1 mpg. Cam install is not that hard just labor intensive.

I had dead pedal issues for months, along with the 0216 code. Kept driving it until was getting dead pedal on e-way causing problems( almost rear ended a couple times). Changed out vp been good since. If it were APPS i think it would show a code for it.

SO pump should work fine on HO truck, just need a fuel box to bring out the extra HP. SO truck can't run a HO VP.
