well i finally figured it out. It's the front outer passanger u joint. I bought both and am going to replace them on wednesday. Sounds like it's tough to do but hopefully With a little elbow grease they will pop out fairly easy.
I can hear it best 15 mph and below. it slows or speeds up with the speed I am traveling. I would imagine it makes the noise while going faster it's just not noticable due to road noise and engine noise. I don't feel any vibrations either.
Not sure what this noise is. I talked to dodge on the phone they said it would not be a wheel bearing making that noise and would probably be a driveline ujoint. Is there a way to determine this. it does not appear to have any abnormal amount of play. any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
the sound is not more pronounced when turning. I will check my hub bearings though to make sure. it sounds like it's coming from the back axle more then the front.
the fan noise though is coming from under the hood I can't hear it from in the cab just when it's at idle standing in front. and...
the first noise is coming from around my fan. it sounds like it's rubbing or knocking on something. I'm unsure what it is. I climbed under and can't find anything it is hitting.
the second noise sounds like a rock in my center cap (or what a loose hub cap sounds like) i pulled it out and...
Bob thank you. I got the new radiator in and found what you were talking about in the fan shroud. I think I got er fixed and shouldn't have a problem again.
here are the pics. The one on the left is the metal bracing protecting the wiring. You can see where it damaged my radiator. Not sure why they hit though. the second pic is where the wiring conects in below the radiator. The other end of the wiring goes to the fan.
I found that my radiator sprung a leak today. Now I am in the process of removing it. I believe i have everything done to get it out except for one part. It is some wiring protected by a metal bracing. I'm not sure how to remove this part to get the radiator out.
It appears to be the same...
Is anyone running this monitor. If so what are you like or dislikes. I am looking at getting the smarty programmer and like that I will be able to change it on the fly with this monitor. If i don't go with this I will just get the 3 gauge pod EGT fuel pressure and boost.
