I may have to park my truck for a few months. Does anyone make a car/truck cover that will protect the whole truck. I have only seen covers that go on top of the cab.
I was looking to replace my stock air filter with a Pro-Guard-7. Geno's offers 2 different ones the pro-guard 7 stock replacement and the AFE Super Stock IRF air filter Pro-Guard 7. Is one better than the other? The price difference between them is a only $. 17.
First off --the newbie would like to say hello to everyone. :)
I drive on some rough roads and the factory shocks can't keep up even at slow speeds. I want to put on new ones probably Rancho9000s. I also want to install a leveling kit but I can't do it right now. The question is will shocks...
The ping noise is an international problem. I don't think the pinging is caused by the fuel. I am in the military and I am stationed in Germany. I by my fuel off-base at ESSO (EXXON). My 06 started the pinging noise at about 1K miles. I emailed Cummins about the Cetane levels in Germany and they...
I have replaced a lot of U-joints with the plastic filler. Chevy loves the stuff. I know some of the older corvets had the filler in every u-joint. I replace 8 u-joints (independent rear suspension). I never had a problem with damaging the driveshaft from the heat. I did it at my house with a...
The Cummins isn't a popular engine over here. Fuel, Fuel additives and oil are very expensive. If you are military you can get Diesel fuel coupons on base and they are a lot cheaper. I am in the Air Force and I order all of my parts/filters from the states. If you plan on going all over the...
I plan on buying a boat and a Travel trailer (25ft). I know a locker will help me get the boat off a wet loading ramp. I was thinking about going with ARB since you can turn it on and off. I also use the truck off-road but nothing serious. Will ARB hold up to the strain of towing or should I go...
RP cost $7. 95 a qt on base. They don't sell it off base. I buy diesel on base for 2. 88 a gal. Off base it runs almost $8 a Gal. I don't know how the Germans afford it. A Gal (4 liters) of Mobil 1 runs $87. 50 (70 euros)
I am in the Air Force And stationed in Germany. I am limited to Quaker State Universal HDX (Dino) and Royal Purple Synthetic. I am almost past the break in period and I would like to go to synthetic. The oil off base is way to expensive Shell Rotalia (Dino) $55 a Gal. Shell sythetic would cost...
There was an article in Feb Diesel Builder about putting a 5. 9 into a Ford. It was a good article. It went through the steps and listed the company that made the adapters. They said wiring should be left to professionals. Once they were done it looked like a very clean set up.
