Railroad tracks, 45 mph, "felt like it was shaking apart. " That all sounds like Death Wobble to me. It is usually associated with a lift (ie changing suspesion component angles, especially track bar to tie rod angles), but is does happen to bone stock SFA vehicles as well. It is WELL known to...
#1 You are literally the first person I have heard knock the 4. 0l, seriously. I haven't driven one, but everyone on the Tacoma forums raves about it, especially when compared to the 3. slow or 3. 4l.
#2 I thought the same thing, until I sat back in my truck. It made mine feel tiny. The extra...
That's good news. If you can dial it all the way down to 3. 2X then even the 3. 73 geared guys are covered. Even a true 37" tire on a truck that came with 265s and 3. 73s only reduces the rear end down to 3. 19.
Well, if you have 4. 10s and then get a near 35" tire (ie 315s or a 35" that is in the 34. 5-35") range, then you could just input 3. 73 gears and it would be pretty damn close. 315s give you an effective rear end ratio of 3. 77 and a true 35" tire would give you 3. 70.
Not perfect for...
Discount can get them, and they will price match anyone. Costco had a better price, but Discount beat it. I got mine because the Pathfinder tires (Discount's generic brand) I had would do nothing but spin in the rain on the hills downtown, even with 2nd gear starts. I litterly had to put it in...
I put a set on my mom's durango (31x10. 5R15), and on my taco (265/75R16). Best all around AT out there, IMO. Awesome in snow and rain, and great in the dry. Quiet and wear well, plus damn good off road traction for an AT. If only they made them in larger sizes...
In that size, I imagine they are the Discoverer STT. Rated at over 3500 lbs.
So, how do they fit with the Kore set up, and did they require the fiberglass front fenders to fit?
