a 13mm Ppump is the best way to go if you not gonna drive it on the street. you can get a huge amount of fuel with them and make big power with the right combinatin of parts,i. e. cam, head work, injectors, turbo ect.
look closely, you may not even have any contacts that fuse location. what i'v seen with things that come as options like power windows, door locks, alarm systems ect. unless the truck came with these things they don't install the wiring harnesses or the fuse contacts.
thats right, the gear is on your flex plate. you really don't need to up grade unless you going to go above 450hp,then it's a good idea. MerryChristmas.
i bought a brand new stock lift pump from cummins for my truck,it went bad in less than 3 months, took out my ij pump, cummins rep. told me i was S. O. L. because i was running a programer. i had the low press. light never came on,waste of $$. been running the fass for 5 years,no issues. i also...
i make my own bio, during summer i run 100% but during the cold months as a rule i would let the tank get down to around a quarter, put in 10gal. s bio then fill up. never had an issue this way. but you do want to make sure the bio's good quality because if it's not &gel's you could end up...
as the other guy said they just pull of. you have to remove the trans crossmember so unbolt the steel part of the lines(3 bolts,1 on crossmember, 2 on frame) & take the lines out completly. you don't want to bend or kink them, so put them in a safe place.
i have an 01 i bought 7 years ago. within the first year the batt's. went bad, the altenator over worked recharging them. couldn't tell looking at the gauge but after years of burning up my injection pump computor & all kinds of other elect. componets i ran a digital volt meter in the truck for...
NO!i have an 01 w/now a 95 turbo on it. i had 40hp injectors it was fine, put in 150s in less than 2 weeks bent the shaft in turbo, now scrap. with 95 for more than a year now no issues. i'm on this page because i also have an 89 w/a 95 Ppump motor.
bob4x4,please explain, why wouldn't a new ecm fix my bog issue?as i stated i could do a brake toque in stock form. now with gob's more power i can't roll the tires unless the roads are wet. seems as though ecm is sensing dry road resistance & is then either defueling or not allowing it to fuel...
i,v changed mine twice, had the lines off another 4-5 times. you need to take all the lines off but can take them off as 2 sets or groups. start at the head loosening and removing the nuts from the injector tubes. look closley at the brackets that hold the lines togther & down to the head,you'll...
stacking a smarty
i run a smarty & quadzilla on my 01. i keep the smarty on level 7. when i ran it on 9 i had too much smoke for daily driving plus talk to cody a rep from industrial injecton he said his truck(99)made the most power on the dyno on level 5. so more isn't nesassarly better. you...
I triped this code in my truck earlier this year. found out there was an ecm problem & needed to have my ecm refashed at dealer. took it in found out it had already been done on my truck & can only be done once on our 2ndgens bummer!I'd'call some of the bigger diesel shops(i. e. Industrial...
