Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Injector Change

2001 HO need instructions on injector change,can anyone please help me out

i,v changed mine twice,had the lines off another 4-5 times. you need to take all the lines off but can take them off as 2 sets or groups. start at the head loosening and removing the nuts from the injector tubes. look closley at the brackets that hold the lines togther & down to the head,you'll see you can remove the front three togther & the back three as a group also. once you have them loosened from the head go down to the pump & loosen &remove line nuts that you can get the wrench on. strart from the top, work your way down & around till you can get them all off. all line nuts are 19mm. once you have lines out take a flat blade screwdriver & carefully pop the injector tubes out where the lines screw to the head. you MUST remove them in order to remove the injectors. next remome the valve cover to gain acsess to the injector hold downs. all the hold down bolts are 10mm. look close you'll see you only have to remove 1 bolt from each hold down because they are slotted. use 1 of the hold down bolts, screw it in the center of the injector, use the screwdriver to gently pry up under the lip on the bolt & pop the injector up & out. just reverse process to reassemble. have fun good luck.

Make sure you replace the O-rings on the injector tubes. You can use one of your valve cover bolts to remove injectors. Just screw into the injector and pull up. The job is easier than changing spark plugs on a small block Chev.
