2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission How many are still running their original VP(fuel pump)?

I think we are pretty mixed around here. A lot of the stations have stickers up saying that it is still LSD and not to run it in any 2007 or newer vehicle. The dealer says that the in tank pump should have more pressure then the original pump. I have a damn hard time believing it. I am...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission How many are still running their original VP(fuel pump)?

Were the lines rusted inside the tank? It seems to me if the lines were rusted outside of the tank between the lift pump and VP then I would see a leak after I shut it off.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake Fluid Leak

I have a pretty steady brake fluid leak. It seems to be coming from an aluminum valve between what I think is the ABS unit and the front brakes. It has a brass plunger in the center that moves up and down. The fluid leaks from this point. I am attaching a picture. Has anyone seen a leak like...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission How many are still running their original VP(fuel pump)?

I've had the worst luck with mine in the last few months. I was on the original lift pump and VP when it started acting up. Still under warranty so I took it to the dealer. Well here I am a few months later, 2 lift pumps(have the relocated one in the tank now), 4 VP44's, and one ECM. It's all...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Looks like Lift Pump, possible VP

Now they are putting in a new ECM. I am so glad this thing was still under warranty.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Looks like Lift Pump, possible VP

Ok, so they did the in the tank replacement and the fuel pump. Everything looked fine for a few days and then it started having problems when you get on the throttle. Now it is throwing the p0216 and p602 codes again. When we picked it up they told they had to replace the fuel pump twice...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Looks like Lift Pump, possible VP

So they are going to replace both pumps under warranty, but they are putting the lift pump in the tank. Are there any specific concerns I should have for this except for the next time I have to change it, it will be twice as much work.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Looks like Lift Pump, possible VP

Thanks for the replies. I am definitely hoping this is covered under the warranty. I am also thinking that some guages are going to be in my future so I can see a problem like this coming.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Looks like Lift Pump, possible VP

My wife took the truck for a trip to visit her family this weekend and I get a call from here when she is almost home that the truck seems to have a dead pedal, or just kinda cuts out on the interstate. She is not far from home so I tell her to just slow down and limp it home. When she gets...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Clutch Problem (hydraulic)

Fixed Thanks for the info guys. I bought the whole assembly $199. 99 and swapped it out, it works perfect again. The new assembly comes in a two piece assembly where the line between the master and slave has a quick connect fitting. My original just had a hard line connection between the two...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Clutch Problem (hydraulic)

Yeah, I just went out and looked at it again. It doesn't even look like it bleeds like any clutch system I am used to. NAPA's web page doesn't even list the parts. Guess I'll be calling my dealer when they open up in about 20mins. Thanks, Bryce

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Clutch Problem (hydraulic)

Has anybody just bought the parts from NAPA? $200 for what could be just the master cylinder seems kinda steep to me. Thanks for the info so far, Bryce

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Clutch Problem (hydraulic)

My clutch is giving me problems. I took the truck to work today and on the way home the clutch started feeling soft. I stopped at a gas station and when I came out I had to pump the clutch about 20 times to even get it in reverse and then when I pushed it in after backing up the truck died...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission "Low Fuel Light"

Thanks for all the responses. I thought just mine was off, but it looks like they are all over the place from everyone's responses. I normally wouldn't run any vehicle under 1/4 tank, but with my truck being on "E" is pretty much the 1/4 tank mark. My main concern for it was on making long...
