So, it comes down to this;
do I assume that the quicky lube guy is going to open the hood when he inspects my truck; and if he does, will he know what he is looking at and that something is missing/changed?
Or, do I play it safe and just reconnect the EGR and Cooler when it is inspection...
I'm not doing anything until I find out how to get my truck inspected if I delete the EGR.
Also, I was wondering if the frequency of the Regen increased or decreased if the EGR was deleted.
Thanks.
I just upgraded my Wildcat 5er from the stock 15" wheels to 16" wheels. I live in the north Texas area and was able to go pick up my tire/wheel package from Southwest Wheel in Irving, TX. Thanks Harvery for pointing me in their direction a couple of months back. I just pulled my trailer to...
I called the dealer in Silverthorne, CO on Tuesday morning and the service writrer I spoke with insured me that I would be OK to drive the truck back to Texas. He told me pretty much the same thing Mike mentions above in regards to what this sensor does.
Thanks again for the input.
Mike,
Thanks a bunch for the explanation and letting me know that this will not prevent a regen. I have found that there is a Dodge dealer in Silverhtorne, which I beleive to be about 50 miles from where I am camping. I am going to call them to see if they have the part(s) in stock. If so, I...
I just pulled my travel trailer up to Colorado (from Texas) and my truck is showing a P0471 code (Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 Performance). The truck seems to be running just fine. I am wondering if I need to go find the nearest Dodge Dealer, or if I can wait until I go home at the end of the...
I hate to resurrect this discussion, but thought it better to do so as opposed to starting a new thread.
My question relates to the emissions system on the cab and chassis models vs the pickup models. It is my understanding that the C&C's do not have the NOX3 catalyst. Is the EGR system also...
Or, post the pics in the thread... . I would like to see these brackets, as well.
(Or, feel free to PM the pic's to me... whaterver is easier for you)
Thanks
I understand your frustration, RVTRKN. We told the salesman that the fold flat floor was an important feature. He told us that it could be added, so we decided to purchase the truck. I don't know if he mis-represented it so we would buy his truck, or if he was just unaware. In either case, there...
My QC has a bench seat in the back. When I bought the truck the sales guy told me that to have the Fold Flat Floor installed would be $500 +, so I told him I would wait (thinking, "I'll buy this thing cheap on eBay"). Now, come to find out, Dodge only offers the fold flat option with the 60/40...
Say, for you guys who have gauges installed, and have the 6-Spd manual transmission, do you have pictures of how you routed the gauge wires through the firewall?
Just picked up my truck yesterday, and will soon be adding at least EGT and Boost gauges. Also, thinking about a fuel PSI gauge.
Thanks.
