5ver Guys: How can I gain space between bed and 5ver

What is the factory block height? Is it 4. 5" or 4" blocks? Should I use a 2. 5" block for replacement? This mod would help significantly. I also like the level appearance. I'm also buying the PullRite auto adjusting hitch for cheap insurance.

5ver Guys: How can I gain space between bed and 5ver

Thanks for the reply, but that wouldn't be an option since I have torsion bar axles. I would probaly have to add a spacer or subframe above the axle mounts. I'm hoping this is the last resort.

5ver Guys: How can I gain space between bed and 5ver

I bought a 1991 fifth wheel Avion 35' in great shape. A friend hauled it home for me, because I haven't bought a hitch yet. Started measuring the top of my truck bed and the bottom of the camper where it sticks out of the truck and I only have 2" clearance. I thought about: -Lowering the...

Who has pulled 1991 Avion fifth wheel with a short bed

I bought a 1991 Avion 5ver today and I haven't bought a hitch yet. I didn't realize the short pin box and the trouble I might have with my short bed. I know I can buy a glider hitch to help solve the problem, but will it be enough? Who has pulled the older Avions with a short bed? What hitch...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front axle seal question

I was reading and noticed the same problem with my 01. The driver side will shutter when the brakes are applied and now my axle seal is leaking. My shutter started when I had both a front brake job. Both rotors turned (glazed not warped) and new brake pads installed. It feels like the wheel...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Tight Steering after Loose Steering Fix

I read a post about increasing the caster on the bottom adjustment. I did it myself and adjusted it so it pushed the axle towards the front. It stopped the wandering by 80%!!! That simple adjustment gave me the biggest return. I hope this helps

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost Fooler

DIY!! Make it yourself!!! I did. Install a pneumatic pressure regulator between the head and map sensor. First, bench set the regulator to 15lbs and then go to the hardware for some hydraulic fittings and air hose. Easy!!!! $20-$30 bucks
