This is my second PSC box in two months. The first had slop the first week and had no return to center. They sent me another replacement, this one reurns to center but also has slop in two days.

Does this boxes have a break in period? When the slop returns it doesn't steer any better than my old factory. Could the pump be bad?

I need some direction, the truck still drives like crap

I bought one to help tighten up my steering and it was no better than what I pulled out. All I gained was a faster ratio box with a little lighter steering effort. I could swear my box I bought new from Dodge was a lot tighter when first installed. It got to the point that adjusting didn't help. All I can figure is they loosen up in the worm drive area and all that's replaced there are the ball bearings most likely. I'm not an expert on this so I'm just guessing what's going on. PSC said they would take my gear back and refund my money but I'm not sure what to do. I just wish I could find a box that would stay tight longer. I have done all the other steering upgrades including the lower steering column bushing and still don't have what I want. At least I'm no longer running OTR and putting on 100k miles/year so that will help.
