    Only a guess, but check the pin connections very carefully for loose or dirty terminals. Thie box can momentarily stop talking to the E. C. M & fuel pump and all kinds of wierd stuff can happen.     I have a 98. 5 and it runs great . The only thing that bothers me is the fact that it sounds louder inside the vehicle than others I have driven. Are some insulated better than others ? Don't get me wrong ,I love the rattle of my diesel but it seems a littl excessive.
