I am in Alameda. I am using the dealer in Oakland.
Thay actually just got the turbo installed this afternoon.
This service department has gone through half a dozen service writers since the P2262 popped up on Sept 2 of last year. They have all for the most part been helpful, but they...
Any Cummins owners out there having a good experience with a Dodge Service Department?
My local dealer doesn't seem to be able to handle diesel trucks very well. I am having a helluva time getting my turbo replaced.
Thanks.
I am getting a turbo on Monday (3/9). My first CEL was on Sept 2. I also tried to share what I have learned here and asked if we could just skip the TSB and get a turbo. No way.
These service departments are milking Dodge for their last drop.
If I am need a new turbo 20,000 miles from...
After four months, my local dealer service center was able to collect and keep all of the parts needed to perform the 2nd part of the TSB related to the 2262 code. (Drill, tap, spray and cap the turbo. )
I'm in the middle of a move, so I figure why not pay them to change the oil and take care...
The manual for my 2007. 5 seems to contradict itself. In the "maintaining your vehicle" section concerning Axle fluid level it says under drain and refill "Vehicles operated in normal service do not have regularly scheduled oil changes. "
In the maintenance schedule "A" it show axle fluid...

I buy the fram filters on sale now and change them as often as my socks when I am in the high...
Thanks. I figured as much, but am a little nervous considering the amount of $$ invested in this truck.
When I was getting a feel for hard braking and such, I was on about a foot of fresh snow.
I spent the whole weekend shoveling, we got about 3 feet) so I was really happy when I was...
I took my 2007. 5 Quad cab up to the family cabin last weekend and got my first taste of driving it in the snow. It did well under normal conditions.
I took it on a less plowed road to get a feel for what it felt like under harsher conditions. (I don't have much experience with snow driving...
Just got back from the dealer. I was having them look into the mysterious rising oil level issue (They said it was 1/8" overfilled at the factory, I saw oil in the metal part of the cable which is more like 3/4") and the computer came up with a recall issued today.
It says, "REPROGRAM ECM &...
