After 2 years, and 30k miles of MIL's and P2262 codes, my truck is going in tomorrow for a new turbo. Previously, all of the TSB's have been performed (including the hack n tap 2 1/2 months ago) and all of the software updates. My turbo is original, build date Feb 07.



We'll see what happens. Sometimes the truck runs great, and sometimes it is a dog and can't get out of it's own way. Very frustrating having inconsistent performance.



Also getting the H34 bracket done, inspection and troubleshooting an oil leak (back side of the motor is wet with oil but it doesn't read low). Although, my most recent oil change didn't show 1-2 quarts overfull like usual. #@$%!



We'll see how it goes. I'll post up initial results next week.
 
Good thing you still have warranty! I chose to eliminate my warranty when my truck had 5,000 miles on it. Best thing I ever did!!

I got rid of my EGR and DPF. As soon as I did this, my turbo codes went away and my increasing oil levels stopped. Now have 24,000 miles on the truck, and it has NEVER seen the dealer. No more p2262 codes since cleaning out the exhaust;)
 
Yes, you are correct. However, I am already w/o my truck for 4 days and it will at least be one more day. I had them order the turbo before I even made the appointment, so go figure what's takin' so long! It must be the safety inspection and H34 recall... :-laf



Two years and 30k miles and I average about 2 weeks in the shop a year.
 
Yep, My truck went in this morning for turbo replacement as well. 2262 last week and they took the intake, egr etc. and cleaned them up as well as the drill/tap/washout of the turbo. Less than 100 miles later the 2262 showed back up. Chyrsler told them to replace turbo, amazing enough that I did not even ask or argue for it!

Good for you! It's always nice to get something without having to ask/argue for it.



But, I asked for them to replace my turbo when all of this first started happening at 4k miles and they said no, and opted to go through numerous TSB's, flashes, etc. and I had to deal with the MIL for 2 years. Yes, I finally have the new turbo installed. Yes, it was two years of headaches. Yes, this experience has greatly skewed my perception of Dodge, expecially when you consider that they also had to put in a new valve cover gasket today and a new clutch kit at 14k miles. My bet is 2-3 months before I get another 2262 code. Sorry for the rant... had to vent. #@$%!
 
I am getting a turbo on Monday (3/9). My first CEL was on Sept 2. I also tried to share what I have learned here and asked if we could just skip the TSB and get a turbo. No way.



These service departments are milking Dodge for their last drop.



If I am need a new turbo 20,000 miles from now will there be a warranty to speak of?
 
I had all the flashes etc done over the last two years, but with only 9000 miles on it I am nervous for the day when I don't have a warranty. The last flash, a week ago, caused the truck to pulse when it shifted into 6th(auto) under light throttle. Are the replacement turbos a new/revised design? Otherwise the same problems are keen on showing back up.
 
i had 16k on my c&c... one day, hit t/h on the shifter to slow down, and no eb engagement at all. mile or so later, cel came on. i dnt remeber the code, but it was "loss of communication with the turbo". took into stealership, they cleaned it, flashed it, test drove it and it did it again. so they called chrysler and they told em to change out turbo. I took the truck in on a monday, got it back friday. gotta love the business link membership!!
