What kind of service life are you getting from your transmissions (stick/automatic) and do you ever use fuel conditioner in your trucks. Thanks for passing along your "knowledge" on these Dodge trucks.
Yes, Please send me info, hints pictures, I want to build my own filter system, that would be a great idea and project to help clean up my black oil... Thanks, Pete
Hello Ckelly1,
You have always given me good advice on my 06' CTD and I need it again. I am on the road in Florida from CA and I noticed throughout the full rpm range that that I am experiencing clatter or rattle. I do not experience it at WOT. I have run Power Service additive in the tank for the last 10 tanks or so and changed the settings on my smarty jr and both changes have made no difference - If this were a gas engine, I would run a hotter plug or suspect carbon build up on top of the pistons... any advice?
Thanks, Peter Laskaris831-638-0194
CKelly1... I wanted to through this concern to you since you are familiar with the 06' CTD trucks! I have posted this on TDR but wanted your opionon if you have a moment. I am on a trip from CA to Florida and experiencing more "clatter" from the engine over the full RPM range. At WOT I don't experience the noise. I have the smarty jr and changed the settings and it makes no difference. I have run fuel additive Power Service over 10 tanks, and the oil level has not risen.
