Thanks guys. The service light was reset 500 miles ago, not at the last change, so I'm sure that won't come on. I only have 3000 since the last change, but they haven't been easy miles ...
I first changed my oil at 4000. The light had not come on yet. Those miles included about 2000 miles of extended highway driving.
At 6500 my oil change light came on. I took it in to the dealer to have it changed, but first I asked them to check to see if they had reset the computer the first...
I went by the dealer today and talked with their resident accessories expert, who generally seems to know what he's talking about. He said there is no way to retrofit the '10 mirrors onto earlier models. He said the mount is different. I didn't have a chance to verify it personally though; you'd...
Thanks for checking. I'll probably be down there in a week or two and I'll see what I can find out then as well. It would be ideal if they had both the old and the new in stock in parts to compare.
Excellent info, thanks. This brings up another subject -- the quality of fuel. I'm sure there are posts about that so I'll do a little research. I was told all the fuel is pretty much the same around here, but I'd certainly like to get the best I can.
From what I've read it doesn't seem to hurt to run a cetane booster in the winter regardless of the fuel. I'm assuming all fuel here is "winterized" but I don't see anything on the pump, so I started using an additive late in the winter.
But then I read a suggestion that it doesn't hurt to...
Thanks guys. I think that's a turn signal, and that would be a nice safety feature, although that may be more difficult to wire in. The overall package looked the same, but I'll have to verify if it'll bolt on. But when I checked many years ago a set of mirrors was 3 or 4 hundred. Dodge's parts...
Yeah, it's just that if you start adding all the aftermarket things the truck should have come with, you end up with things tacked all over your dash and it's hard to find spots to put everything. I was hoping it would be easy to add the factory option. Oh well. Thanks.
I really like the new mirrors on the 2010s. The problem I have with the current mirrors is I cannot see the bottom of the rear tire, which would be nice when going around corners to check curb clearance or when backing into a parking spot. (Of course BMW tilts their mirrors down automatically in...
Has anyone added the stock 2500 tire pressure sensor system to their 3500? Even though the law doesn't require it, I don't know why Chrysler didn't at least offer it as an option. When carrying a load air pressure is pretty important.
Of course, maybe someday they'll realize we tow trailers...
Is there a reasonably cheap, bolt-on replacement horn that sounds a little better than stock? I don't want an air horn, just something a little deeper; the stock one just sounds like a regular car, not a truck.
