Okay, I did some digging & found it's pin #22 on the rear ECM plug that goes to ground. It will be interesting, after doing that, to see if my Smarty 06 can activate the high-idle without a trip to the dealer. Dan

Motorhead, Bob, thanks a million for help. You wouldn't know which pin it is on the ECM that requires a path to ground? I've pulled both ECM connections in the past, so I know what's involved with doing that. Thanks, Dan

Having been in the same exact boat myself, I recently sold (!) my 6. 7 and happily replaced it with a trusty 5. 9 I located bran new as a leftover '06. Yes, I took a hit for some $$$, but every lesson comes with a price. Life is good once again.

Ditto, ditto and ditto - my Smarty 06 rocks - I've actually only ever used mine on level 3. Mileage and power increases are _very_ noticeable with a truck that's essentially stock.

The pressure regulation system that Pacbrake Harold referred to is a huge benefit. When loaded heavy (upper 20k's and lower 30k's) I often drop gears with the Pacbrake on right down to 2nd gear without touching the hydraulic service brakes in the truck (G56 manual trans). The PRXB is effective...

The '07 EPA regs & DPF filters relating to our 6. 7 trucks is a very half-hearted "solution" to a much, much bigger long term problem. The EPA fails to realise there is no free lunch out there. Dan

grasmo, what I was asking was, have you used your truck for actual business income, or is it just your personal truck with no income gained from it? At least in PA, these two scenarios are very different when it comes to what you're doing, at least from the truck's owner's side of things.
