Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
My opinion is that they are wanting full retail value for a truck being privately sold and it has a salvage title. I have never rebuilt a salvaged car or truck, but I have rebuilt salvaged motorcycles and I can tell you that my experience with a motorcycle being sold with a salvage title is that...
The bolts on mine had a thread locker factory applied, it takes some juju to get them broken the first time, use the method described above with an impact wrench. I actually used a 1/2" impact, but a 3/8" would have been easier.
You stole those tires! I have not found them for less than $300 each for the "E" rated units. How much were the wheels and what is the back spacing on them?
Man, your rig looks great! I think you will really like those tires, I am running the same ones and size in load range E and they are great tires, but I will say that Toyo really seems to think the world of them! I am really liking the wheels, very nice looking!
As far as I know, the difference is the taper size and the change was made in 2000 to a slightly larger taper shaft for the pitman arm. The factory "crossover" steering draglink TRE is the same for both setups, but you have to request it for a pre-2000 if you have a pre-2000 truck or request it...
I am pleased with the Skyjacker Nitro 8000 series shocks I recently installed. Great price for a nitrogen charged shock. I could not find 5" over Bilstein 5100's, that is why I went with the Sky Jackers, glad I did because they ride great and cost about $20 less per shock.
My converter is also shuddering in 4th and O/D. I was told here and by my trusted transmission guy that it will never get better, it is done and will only get worse. Mine is not related to the wiring issue addressed previously, maybe yours is, but it sounds just like what I am experiencing. It is new...
Thanks for the info William. I had to ask about the lift as I can make 35's rub when wheeling on my 5. 5" Fabtech lift. I will say that I am impressed with the Skyjacker Nitro shocks I just installed. The ride from these shocks is outstanding. That said, I would probably not purchase an actual...
William, I just looked at the pic of your truck, pretty much my truck but in white! I was wondering what cap you have and also your flares. They look like the ones I have also. Do you have a body lift? 37's on 5" of lift seems almost impossible.
Seems like the Toyo Open Country M/T is getting a bit of love in this thread, I very much like mine, but $300 a tire for E load range is too pricey. Try to find a deal on them.
Good looking tires!
