What controls (activates) the AFC? I am experiencing overfueling at low RPM, as soon as the boost builds along with the rpm the black smoke clears up. This just started a while back, the truck has 235 k on it. Why would the AFC need to adjusted only now??

I have checked the intercooler boot clamps,. . all is well. I also made up an adapter and charged the inercooler with 10 psi pressure, there is a leak on the inside bottom corner, showed up right away when I covered the outside with soapy water. Upgrade included a change of injectors as well as reworking the pump. I should mention that the engine upgrade was done at 60,000 kms and the smoking problem has been nonexistant untill resently.

95 12 valve, with a Dr performance upgrade> Just turn over 235,000 Kms. Lately I am getting black smoke from the exhaust, noticably worse at lower rpm's. The performance seems OK, I can still peg the boost gauge at 30 psi. I changed the head a while back, don't think the two are related but ??
