Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
Good MPG but with my 2010 the best I every got was 16 thats hand calc and flat driving. When towing it went south in a hurry. The lowest was 4 mpg going over the rockies towing a goose neck total weight about 24,000 the best was 8 mpg with the same weight empty towing same trailer was 11...
If you are having problems on two different trailers than most likely you have bad controler. Take it in and have the dealer look it over and ask if they need the trailer hooked up to it to dupilcate the problem.
Harvey,
I found this on the pickup truck site. What I have seen personal between the RAM and the one I have now and driving the same routes the present truck has a better MPG. Some of it is due in part to different gear ratios. But at the same time there has been other threads and people...
The DEF system will increase your MPG were the other system has reduced the over all MPG the cost for 2. 5 gallons of DEF is about $12. 50 or $25 to fill the tank which last about 5,000 miles. If you buy it from the dealer it should run about $19.
Update
I made it 3400 miles before the alert came on that I had only 800 more miles before the cow pee ran out.
I do not know if when I pick up the truck it had full tank or not.
I found the cow pee at $13 per 2 1/2 gallons. The other thing of interest is that you cannot store this...
Harvey,
First “let's be honest” is a metaphor it was not directed at you or anyone else.
The truth is that both Dodge and Ford have pro's and con's. I cannot speak for the Chevy trucks never owned one. Some of the stuff I have seen with this thread is like being back in High School with...
Let's be honest about all this stuff, I never had problem towing heavy with my Dodge or Ford never owned a Chevy. I average about 60,000 miles per year with my trucks and they are work trucks not ice cream getters.
When I am towing it's between 12 and 15K on the trailer any of the engines in...
What I find interesting is that if low end torque was the end all be all wouldn't all engine builders design their engines the same as Cummins.
The other thing of interesting if we try to drive all vehicles the same than VW beetle will not act the same way as the Charger, so which vehicle is...
A wise man once told me it's not how fast you can go it's how quick you can stop that matters.
I understand why we all like the low end grunt of the engine it's like being on a tractor. If all the trucks can move the load and after you have it moving what does it take to keep it moving. I...
I had the the 6 speed manual in mine and it had clutch problems from the get go. Dodge redesign the pressure plate and that did help some but I think part of it was the DMF and self adjusting clutch did not help much.
Like Harvey I had few other Dodges before this one with out any major...
Rusty,
How many miles on yours and do you tow heavy?
I had 45,000 miles on mine and I think my truck was built either on monday or friday.
My truck was used for a work truck and it towed almost everyday either local or across the country.
Don
What is wrong with you. My new 2010 had more dang parts falling off it than you could count. It seems you are not open to the fact each truck has it stong and weak points.
Have you order your new Ram yet?
