I don't think you will really give up much room my 14 3500 crew cab has much lager rear doors than the rear doors on a Quad cab, I have a friend with a 14 1500 Quad cab and my doors are a good 4-6" wider than his with much more rear leg room than he has.
I have a 5th wheel and my 14 did not have the tow prep but I sure wise it did. The only brackets I could find at the time to install my rails are from Curt towing and IMO they SUCK, so much that I am on the look out for the parts to do the factory 5th wheel prep.

I went with the Aisin for the simple reason that I spent 29 years in the transmission industry and have worked on a lot of different units and although I have never been into 1 of these, the other Aisin's that I have worked on seemed to be better designed and held up better than most.
I have 1 Autometer Phantom gauge that I purchased on 5/30/14 it was installed for less than 2 weeks before I traded the truck for a new 14.

Consistent low LP pressures will cavitate the gear rotor pump on the CP-3 beating the gears and wear plates to death. Guess where all the filings go?
I'm curious, how is this so the Duramax uses a CP-3 and has no lift pump at all
just wondering.
I must be the oddball here I do not find them to be uncomfortable at all. I have done 12-15 hrs none stop but to pee and fuel and felt just fine when I got to my destination.
