Have a 2000 5.9 with 170k. Given the age I’m concerned that pulley bearings are going to fail soon. Given I tow a camper with the vehicle, trying to avoid future roadside issues.
Looking to do the work myself but looking for any/all guidance. If anyone has docs/pics to share or can direct me...
Removed the harmonic balance and cleaned it up over the weekend. Noted the rubber was pliable (not dry rotted or falling out). Did recently have the trans. rebuilt. Took it back to mechanic to have everything double checked. Still searching................ Thanks for the replies.
I live in Bel Air MD (21014) and I'm looking for a (good trustworthy) diesel mechanic in the area. If you have recommendations, please post. Thank you.
2000 Ram 2500 with 160K miles.
Recently noted heavy general vibration in cab with truck in park, neutral or drive. Trying to find a starting point to troubleshoot. I'm thinking engine mounts?? Thoughts welcomed.
I identified the wires... the first was the fuel pump and the second appears to be the starter solenoid wire (traced the hot wire leading to the starter motor).
I recently noted the same EXACT issue with my 2000. Flashers are working, but horn does not and causes the right blinker indicator to come on. Will try to locate faulty ground this weekend.
I have a 2000 2500 and the drivers side battery has a few wires (look like non-stock) for which I'm trying to identify. These are small low-voltage wires and I've had difficulties tracing them.
Does anyone have a diagram or photo of a stock battery connections? Should I expect to see 'rogue'...
