Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
Sorry it took so long to reply to this thread, been crazy busy. So it took about a week or so before I got around to looking at the truck again. When I hooked up the gauges again, the high side pressure was really high and was causing the compressor to cycle often due to the high pressure...
I do believe I had a fan problem due to the truck getting a little warmer than normal while towing and very poor AC performance when the truck wasn't moving very fast. I have swapped out the fan clutch today to try to alleviate any issues with it. I have noticed what appears to be an oily...
I have a quick question for the experts here in TDR,
My AC started getting a little warmer than normal so I hooked up my gauges for a recharge. It was low on both sides so I added a little 134a to bring the low side back up into spec, by the high side is still pretty low. It was around 90 here...
Keep the 07. I've seen far too many 4th gens in the shop for lots of emissions problems. One of my co-workers had a 13 that was in the shop 19 times for emission related issues with less than 30k on the truck. It's gone now.
For your current truck: 4th gen seats are a super easy swap, EFI Live...
I've got LED backup lights on the rear of my gooseneck and they pull power directly from the 7 pin trailer connector. I see no reason you couldn't power a set mounted on the back of the truck the same way. If you want a quick, easy, and cheap way to increase your backup lighting, just put some...
I use a long extension and a universal from underneath to break it lose and drain, then I reach in from the top to spin it the rest of the way out by hand and pull it out. I'm to lazy to remove the fender liner every time I want to change the filter out.
It's basically clear window tint. I'm sure you could do it yourself if you wanted. I had a local shop do both tail lights, the entire tailgate to prevent scratches, and around the fender flares where they would normally rub the paint off.
To keep the headlights from getting hazy, I had my headlights covered with 3M Ventureshield. My truck is an 08 and lives outside all the time and my headlights still look great with no haze. I suggest looking into getting your new headlights covered to keep them from deteriorating like the...
Gary, glad to help. How's the A/C working after the recharge? You replace that upper dash panel that disintegrated when we took it apart?
Don, HeaterTreater does not make dual zone doors, but Blend Door USA does. If you ever decide to go back into the box and want to replace the rest of the...
My truck runs the pump as soon as you turn the key on, no need to bump the starter. It pressurizes the fuel system to the CP3 before you start cranking the engine.
Here's my article on changing a fuel filter. It has the part numbers in it for the "old" and the "new" style filter.

You'll have to figure out what the switch is doing when you press it internally and mimic that externally between the two wires. The purpose of the resistor in the older trucks is to get a proper CANBUS signal sent through the wiring. If you can acquire the wiring schematics for a 4th gen, you...
There's finally something available for the dual zone mega cab guys to replace your broken HVAC doors. Here's a video I did over the weekend when I was rebuilding a dual zone mega cab box from a 2006.

I just pried up on the wear sleeve with a small pry bar and it came right off. If that doesn't work, you might have to use a chisel to persuade it to come off. Here's what I did with mine.
