What chart are you talking about? I've been thinking of going with 315/70-R17's which I've been told are about 34. 5". I'm running 4:10 gears also so If there's a chart somewhere that says that these are a good match for the gears then I'll most likely go for it.

Recently traded an '03 for a '04. 5 with stock 4" exhaust. I thought the new truck would sound much better considering the exhaust but there is virtually no difference. Do I need to swap out my stock muffler?:confused:

As much as I love my 04. 5 I've got to admit that I was a little disappointed in the sound. I traded in a 03 SO and one of the first things I was going to do was go to a full 4 inch exhaust which the 04. 5 comes with standard. Does'nt seem to sound any different than the 03 with 3 inch exhaust...

What have you got to back that up? The only howling coming from my 04. 5 are my howls of delight every time I step on the gas!!! I have noticed that the truck is much quieter than the 03 SO that I traded in on it.
