Sounds like you have a rear seal weeping a bit. Gear oil combined with road and brake dust can look like dirty grease. It's been 45 years or so since I changed one. It is a reasonably easy dirty job and it need to be done. I'm sure there is a YouTube video to guide you through the process.

Let me add to this, after turning the switch to ON, scroll to the stored message, then do step 2 and 3 and watch the message disappear before turning the switch off. Note: in step 2, 3 press and releases may be required.

16, 2500 Laramie 68RFE, I think I can go 5 or 6K empty miles before DEF needle moves off full, hook to a trailer and it all changes. I figure about 2.5 gal of DEF per 10K (80% empty) miles.

Along with bags keep some good shocks on the rear, front too.

If you open up the coolant system, drain the coolant, how do you refill it? Vent the entrapped air? They removed the traditional radiator cap. The owners manual indicates a dealer service issue. Just asking for a friend.

When empty, I just drive it. When the 13K fifth wheel is attached we go to tow/haul mode, auto EB, and most of the time lock out sixth. The exception to locking out sixth is 70 or over in the flats.

My question is; What do fleet managers do? If they use an additive, witch one? and the benefits of long term use using statistical data.. My personal opinion is it belongs on the shelf with the rest of the liquid fix my sick motor in a can remedies.
