It sounds like it is a difficult sequence to do. So i would never know if I did it correctly without the message. Maybe I did it without knowing?

You could wait until 67500 miles for the miles reading when you changed the filter at 54 months.

If you didn't succeed it will come on earlier than you expect.

The reason I asked was this thread I found. http://dodgeownerforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=18441.0

Which stated:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not start engine).
2. Press and release the brake pedal two times.
3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly two times within 10 seconds and hold it to the floor the second time.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position and then let up on the accelerator pedal.​

Let me add to this, after turning the switch to ON, scroll to the stored message, then do step 2 and 3 and watch the message disappear before turning the switch off. Note: in step 2, 3 press and releases may be required.

I'm at 68,300 miles and no message. Maybe because the ECM was replaced under warranty?
