I have changed my CCV filter but cannot get the "perform service" message to erase. I have done the switch on, depress brake pedal 2 time, depress acc pedal slowly 2 times in 10 seconds. I have done this procedure 16 times and the message will not go away. I have tried opening and closing door while going through steps. I have tried everything I could find here and elsewhere on the internet and nothing works. This is on a 2014 3500. Is my only alternative to go to the dealer. I am out of ideas.

Did you hold the acc pedal to the floor on the second press then turn off the ignition, then let up on the pedal? Jush checkin'...;)

The reason I asked was this thread I found. http://dodgeownerforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=18441.0

Which stated:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not start engine).
2. Press and release the brake pedal two times.
3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly two times within 10 seconds and hold it to the floor the second time.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position and then let up on the accelerator pedal.

Bruce, gave it a try 5 times and it didn't work. Will take to dealer and get a reset. Thanks for trying to help.

Again.. all the instructions I’ve seen involve using the brake pedal 3 times, not 2.
CFrance...Put on some foot stompin' music and try three pushes like John suggested. ^^^^ It's the magic number for other resets too...

On Edit...That said, Here is another link to a search for CCV message reset. https://www.bing.com/search?q=ccv+filter+message+reset+procedure&FORM=AWRE
Most I viewed say 2 pushes of brake and two SLOW accelerator pedal pushes (within 10 seconds)...;) Maybe it is time for a dealer visit?

Well it went fairly easy except for the orange/red lock on the cable connector. Finely used channel locks to start pushing it out from the far side. Used a 5/16 1/4 drive deep socket to get the two studs loose and the back drivers side bolt. Next up is to install the Mopar drag link.

Almost to 67600 miles and no perform service message. I did the service a couple of years ago at 41k because I was at 54 months. But no message yet.

So you did not reset the mileage counter at 54K months??? That is when your should have started the 67500 mileage counter again.
