My Truck Is Not Capable up Pulling a Trailered Car?

I have a car to haul to Indiana and called Uhaul to rent a trailer. the girl asked for the vehicle I was towing (a 2006 Tahoe) and the truck I was towing with (2001 Dodge Diesel) and told me she couldn't rent me a trailer because the truck was not capable of pulling the weight. I questioned her...

    VP44 Overflow Valve

Ok.. I will get a pressure gauge and do a manual check. Not something I was thinking of because the gauge has only been on there a year. Thanks to everyone for the advice... Gary

    VP44 Overflow Valve

It is an ISS Pro Gauge, new behavior for the gauge though.

    VP44 Overflow Valve

Yes, but it is a new thing. I have had the truck for a year and a half, this is new behavior for the gauge.

    VP44 Overflow Valve

On top of my other mysteries, recently my Fass is acting up. Normally when I shut down the truck, the lift pressure gauge stays at 15 lbs even without the pump running. When the truck starts, the gauge would go to zero then immediately up to 15. The last couple of days, the pressure drops and...

    My TC is Cycling

Hello Katoom. I had checked my alternator for AC voltage earlier this year and I was at the high limit (.05? .07? vac), but I had no problems with cycling until yesterday. I believe you and I talked about this before. I saw the company name in an old post and I bought this one yesterday...

-30 below, How do I keep the fuel flowing?

Well I don't know what to say about the signature, it was there at one time. I'm a paying member that has not logged on since summer and did not notice it was missing. I have not gotten any notifications on this post either for some reason. The truck is a 2001 24 valve with a Fass Pump hanging...

-30 below, How do I keep the fuel flowing?

I am going to have to drive in -30 degree weather tonight and tomorrow. How can I keep the fuel from gelling? I am running Power Service to keep it flowing right now, but have no idea if that will keep it fluid at these temps. Thanks... Gary

    Hard Cold Start

I do wonder why the IAT sensor does not throw a code if it sees no change in manifold temperature after running the grid heater.

    Hard Cold Start

Figured out the problem of my hard starts on cold mornings., boy is my face red :( Early last summer I replaced the batteries and all the cables. Went with military style battery terminals, I replaced it all. When I hooked all the wires back to the terminals, I installed the fusible link cables...

    Hard Cold Start

I had that issue on my last truck, that truck cranked and cranked with nothing... I had it rigged so I could disconnect the power to the lift pump momentarily so it would start. This is different. It hits every time, it just stumbles the whole time till you give it fuel. Not quite convinced it...

    Hard Cold Start

I have a very hard start even when temps are sitting at 34 degrees. My "Wait To Start" light comes on and goes off but it will still not start on the first crank unless I give it extra fuel. Even then it stumbles and barely runs for the first few seconds then blasts out a cloud of non burnt...
