Theres a good Transmission shop I just had my 03 Cummins transmission rebuilt at. Its in the town of El Dorado, almost in Placerville, Called J&C Automotive (530) 622-8007. He is very knowledgeable about the Ram Diesels Trannys.

I had a similar problem on my 03 2500. I had a fuel rail leak and my fuel pump was original at 215K miles replaced both and truck runs like new for 2000 miles now .I however never got a code. I had the Dealership fix it#@$%!

Talking to the person working on it after he took down the transmission, it was the OD unit that came off. Good to know this is common. He replaced the housing and rebuilt the OD.
