    SMARTIRE monitoring system

I have the braided stainless steel extenders on the rear dullies. They work well. Make sure they use STEEL stems, not rubber, to attach the extenders to. I have never had a problem with them. They were attached to a bracket with a nut. The bracket was attached to the wheel covers via rivet. Made...

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Effects of turning "up" injector pump?

On a 1998 12V, what can be expected from turning up the injector pump in regards to increasing power? Will this have any negative effects on anything? Thanks. ***NOTE*** I've moved this thread/question to the second gen 12v forum for better response... Pastor Bob...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Effect of no wastegate?

What are the good or bad engine effects of replacing the stock turbo with a larger turbo, removing the wastegate and adding a performance chip? This is on a 1998 24V. I am trying to determine the benefits and risks to the longivity of the engine with the above modifications. Thanks.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No Power Towing from a Stop

mine too...... Mine has been doing the same thing, locking up in 3rd and not shifting up or down. This does not happen all the time. When the smartcontroller is turned off, the t/c locks and unlocks consistently. Bill K. feels it is an electrical issue and has hooked me up with a guy who will...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel pressure question

gauge Thanks for info folks. I have placed a call into Nordskog to their technical support and am expecting a call back. In reponse to some of your questions: With the key on, but not cranking the gauge reads 0. With a bump of the key, but not cranking the engine, the readings start at...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel pressure question

I just installed a digital fuel pressure gauge. On start-up the gauge reads at 0, builds up to 13 or 14 and stays constant at 13 or 14 while the engine is operating. When the engine is turned off, the gauge drops back to 0. I noticed in other postings members noted fuel pressure changes during...

    DTT Smart Controller owners please

I have a radio rack setup on my transmission hump. I put velcro on it and attached to the top of the roadrelay. This way I can see the event lights and keep it cooler.

Tell me about your DTT Smart Controller...

I had the smartcontroller installed this past July. I also had the TC and VB installed at the same time. I believe all these componets are designed to work together, but I have noticed a reduction in the free wheeling characteristics of the factory setup. Now there is a definete "grab" that...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ECM updates

ECM reflashes I took my 98. 5 in about two weeks ago for the TSB 18-08-99 update and when they hooked it up to the ECM, the unit dumped all existing software and would not accept new software. A new ECM had to be ordered and installed. So, there may indeed be a burn up problem for some years.
