04-06 owners. How was your truck?

"In my book, a vehicle that needs $1750 (or so) worth of unusual repairs within the first 5 years of ownership, especially with infrequent use and relatively low miles driven... probably gets the manufacturer black-listed for future purchases. (note these repairs aren't for accelerated wear due...

04-06 owners. How was your truck?

This post is an inspiration. The engine is great but the truck is left wanting but you still love it anyways. Behold the power of the cummins.

04-06 owners. How was your truck?

I've always be leery about first model years and wanted to stay away from the weaker 47RE transmision. Why do you think they are the best year?

04-06 owners. How was your truck?

I know the Cummins is an amazing engine but i'm worried about the truck falling apart around it.

04-06 owners. How was your truck?

I'm looking into the longevity of the 04-06 trucks. I've heard nothing but praise about the cummins but what about the truck it is put in? How did the truck hold up for the 4+ years you owned it. What sort of things broke. What sort of mileage did you get while you owned it? Your input and...

Hows does your 2wd CTD handle in the snow?

I don't think there is such thing as an emergency stop on snow/ ice for one. 2wd stops the same as a 4wd. The brake are the same but the added weight in the back you need in a 2wd to get going can be a factor in stopping even thou the 4wd weights more by itself. So you belive that a 2wd will get...

Hows does your 2wd CTD handle in the snow?

I'm moving from warm and sunny California to Michigan. How does a 2wd CTD handle in the snow. The roads are plowed pretty quickly so i would have to drive in 3-4 inches at the most. I drive a gasser now but will soon have a CTD. I would like a 2wd because it is lower to the gorund and gets...

    03-04 305 hp vs 04.5-05 325 HO fuel mileage

Anyone out there have a 04. 5-05 HO 4wd QC SB with 3. 73. What kind of mileage are you getting out of that?

    03-04 305 hp vs 04.5-05 325 HO fuel mileage

I know they changed a lot for emissions on the HO engine. I've heard the HO getting 2-3 mpg worst. What are you experiencing? What year and what kind of truck do you have and what mileage do you get? What year do you think is best?

Why was this 4wd so rough?

Do 4wd really have horrible ball joint and steering problems that i hear about? Do you wish you didn't get a 4wd now?

Why was this 4wd so rough?

It was stock. I'll test drive another 4wd, just wish there were more 04-05 around for sale.

Does pilot injection affect fuel economy?

I only have 2 choices in Cali for 04- 05 CTD. The 235 HP 04 or the 325 04. 5- 05 HO CTD. I find it much easier to buy in state then to try to buy a truck out of state. I was trying to see how badly the post injection affect milage and if it would be worth going out of state with all the hassle...

My future CTD will be my daily driver and only truck.
