    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Questions about lift pumps etc.

fuel pressure? When you clamp the return line just behind the overflow valve how high will (or should) the pressure read? Mine idles at 20 and when I bring the rpms up it dips and then returns to only 20psi. Clamp the return hose and it goes to 50psi at idle. Thanks

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A/C quit working. Any ideas?

Have you checked the a/c compressor to make sure it is engaging? It uses an electromagnet to engage the front face plate with the pulley. Not familiar with this system (yet) but it uses an electromagnet (coil) behind the pulley and probably a relay and fuse, maybe a low pressure switch. You can...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A/C clutch

Thanks Thanks everyone for all the replies, help and links. I made a puller to remove the face plate, now I am just waiting for it to stop raining. Sounds like this is a pretty common problem, but mine did go over 200k miles before it broke Larry

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A/C clutch

    B. G. Smith & Redram I used a spanner to hold the face plate while I removed the retaining nut but the face plate is stuck on the shaft. I'm thinking there should be some kind of puller to break it loose. Two of the three spokes on the plate are broken and it never completely clears the pulley...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cats and Mufflers

I had the cat off my 96 and the only thing inside was one screen type baffle, not at all like the cat on my jeep or car. Is this normal or should there be something else? Nothing seems to be burnt out. Looks more like a spark arrester. Larry

Scott Thanks for the help, got it back together. Have you got any pictures of your stack? I think a single 5" would look great. James

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) injector torque spec ??

I just pulled the injectors out of my 96 2500 5 spd. I had them popped and got new crush washers, but no one knew the torque spec. for the hold down nut. Can some one help? I ran a search but did not find it. Thanks
