    Back up camera blury

On my 2015 Big Horn, the factory installed back up camera mounted in the the tail gate produces a blurred image on the screen. The lens is clean & unbroken, electrical connections for the tail gate assembly are clean & dry (at both the body harness to the tail gate and the connection within...

Norcold 3 way fridge drawing excessive current in "Battery" mode.

WOW!! Thanks everyone. I may just abandon the option of the fridge since it functions perfectly on AC & propane. We also have a travel trailer with a 2 way fridge and it works just fine while on the road (in the propane mode). The Lances' fridge has a mind of its' own when it comes to using...

Norcold 3 way fridge drawing excessive current in "Battery" mode.

Wiring from the engine compartment to the camper was accomplished by an "authorized" Lance dealer and was done in 2015 when I purchased the truck. All was fine. I've not made any additions to the electrical demand on the camper. Information decals on the inside of the fridge state amp draw &...

Norcold 3 way fridge drawing excessive current in "Battery" mode.

I'm unable to measure the exact current draw but it's enough to activate the on board "battery isolater" which in turn means the truck alternator is not charging the coach battery. I was able to trouble shoot the "DC heating element" with an ohm meter and got a reading of 1.1 ohms. I'm out of...

    O.A.T. raditor fluid

john, thanks for the info. Based on what I could see on the reservoir body, it's below "min" level marking. But how much fluid do I need to bring it up to "max",,,,,,unsure. Good news is I'm close to a auto parts store, so I'll get some O A T. As to the 2ned post, my fault, wasn't sure if my...

    O.A.T. raditor fluid

Is it O.K. to top off reservoir with water? Thanks,Jim

"low fluid" appears on info ctr.

Know it pertains to radiator fluid (confirmed fluid is below"max"). Can I top off with only water? Owners manual doesn't specify. Thanks, Jim

DTC P0542; Intake air heater "A" circuit high.

I THANK everyone for their help. The photos helped a lot. I've disconnected the positive battery cable to the solenoid, I noticed it has a "fusible" link and I'm guessing the "link" would've melted before serious damage to the grid heater occurred. One additional point, I noticed the (on...

DTC P0542; Intake air heater "A" circuit high.

Well, my story JUST keeps getting better & better. After reading your suggestion, I consulted my "Haynes" for info on the "solenoid" & where it's located. According to Haynes, thee are 2 relays located on the "right battery" (they even showed a photo), not a solenoid. After closer inspection...

DTC P0542; Intake air heater "A" circuit high.

Ltngdrvr, a bit more info on my plight, physical location & ambient air temp. Currently we're is southern Nevada (Las Vegas area) where temps are in the 60's to 70's. The "check eng. light came on while I was driving, had been on the road for 'bout an hour. At that point in time I had no way...

DTC P0542; Intake air heater "A" circuit high.

Would appreciate any info on this code., mainly, how serious it is. The "Haynes Repair Manual" tells me zilch. I'm currently 900 miles from my home and towing our 30 ft. travel trailer. Am I going to have serious problems if I continue to drive? So far, everything is O.K. My ride is a 2015...

    Turbo failure @ 67k miles

I'm quoting from the dealer's/mechanic paper work: "scanned vehicle & found code P003 turbocharger boost control module position exceeded learning limit. Checked turbo actuator wiring & electrical connections all OK. Checked turbo actuator gears & found binding nozzle on slide- p/trouble chart...

    Turbo failure @ 67k miles

Sorry JR, it's already on it's way to BD Diesel so I can get my $600.00 core charge refund.

    Turbo failure @ 67k miles

The mechanic said the actuator was the problem and we discussed replacing JUST the actuator. But he also stated that he'd done this in the past and shortly afterward the customer was back needing the turbo replaced. So I opted for changing the entire unit.
