Thanks Fogie, not getting to many reponses on this thread. Did you install the rebuild kit yourself? If so, how hard was it? Jeff

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torque King Retrofit Kit

Nobody's put this kit in there truck? I figured i get a few responses. I'll have to do more research on the 5th gear fix. Maybe everybody's happy with a cheaper solution. This kit is a little pricey around 800 bucks. Jeff

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torque King Retrofit Kit

I did a search and couldn't find much about this kit. I don't have a problem with 5th gear (yet) but would like to fix it before it breaks. It seems to me the cost of a new transmission was steep. Has anybody installed this kit? My transmission has 66,000 on it. Thanks, Jeff

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) differential chatter

Dirk, Thanks for the information. I put in 4oz's of the Dodge friction modifier and the chatter is gone. I was getting the other stuff from Auto Zone. Problem solved. Thanks again. Jeff

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) differential chatter

I added 2 tubes initially and did several figure 8's and drove for about 20 miles. Than i added another one and have been driving for over 100 miles. I was afraid to add to much. Should i drive it "as is" for awhile? Jeff

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) differential chatter

I changed my differential fluid using mobile 1 75w/90 and the rear end chattered. I added friction modifier (3 tubes, 1 at a time) and still had the chatter. So i drained it again and went with the RP 75W140 and still have the chatter. I added 1 tube of friction modifier at a time (3) and still...

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mechanical or electric fuel pressure gauge?

It seems the electric is the way to go. I'm thinking of going with the autometer Z series because the come close to matching the ISSPRO gauges i currently have. Does anyone have any experience with these gauges? Jeff

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mechanical or electric fuel pressure gauge?

What is the best option for fuel pressure gauges, mechanical or electric? I've been mulling this over for quite some time. I want reliability and don't want to run fuel into the cab, so I would have to use an isolator if i go mechanical. I heard the isolators are not to reliable. Right now i...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Differential Fluid

This all started when i had a Mickey Mouse mechanic change the left differential seal on my truck. Not to sure what they used so i drained and and went with the mobile 1 gear oil. I keeped adding modifier and still had the rearend clanging. So I'm going to drain the mobil 1 and put in RP...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Differential Fluid

diffs fluids I just changed my differential fluid using Mobil 1 75W/90 and add extra friction modifier. I put in 2 tubes of friction modifier (7 oz each)and it still makes noise when i let off the gas. I did about 10 figure 8's to mix up the fluid. Should i keep adding friction modifier until...
