Garrett at PUREDIESELPOWER.com is great to work with, met him in person at a Diesel Performance training meeting. Had many smooth transactions with him. What are you looking for?
60mm comp with the .88 will spool at about 2200rpm.
There is very little benefit to the s300sxe 62/68 over the standard 62/FMW. The larger comp cover is not much help with that small of a compressor. We have a ton of sxe turbos already machined for fitment on 89-02.
The 62/68/12 gated is a...
The box unit would be a poor match. 62/68/12 and some 5x.014 155* spray would be awesome. If you want to stick with the stock 4 hole injectors the 62/65/12 would be pretty quick spooling.
Stay away from the marine 155* nozzles/injectors. There are lots of options for 145* spray. 5, 6 and 7 holes for better atomization at certain rpms/boost.
A #10 plate will be less expensive and provide a lot more power. Have you considered valvesprings and a 4000rpm kit. Its a shame to spool...
I finally got info on the POD spray angle. They are 157* Not sure why anyone would want to use them since there are nice options for 5, 6 and 7 hole nozzles in 145* and 5 hole in 155*.
the conversion will cost more than a good complete engine. The vp44 is the most advanced pump bosch created. If you change from a vp44 you lose dynamic timing, high idle, most likely cruise. The dynamic timing will get you better mpg.
pump = $500-1000 if you can find one
conversion kit to work...
is this the oe replacement turbo for your year? We have plugs to replace that solenoid, and there are resistor plugs to keep you from getting codes if its not hooked up.
the garrett bb turbos have under sized bearings for the diesel application and typically have smaller turbine wheels and are drive pressure limited. They are also expensive.
you have one, they spool quick, 600hp is a lot to ask of it.
Genuine Bosch injectors are worth the extra money in many cases. We can calibrate injectors on our test stand. We also now have bigger HP with the correct spray pattern for the 04.5-07
We have seen MPG similar to stock at 100HP and lower. Going to 150HP expect about a .5mpg to 1mpg lower. Definitely stay with a bosch body.when we build injectors we match the nozzles to within .03LPM with calibration fluid at 1500psi similar to how flow is checked on common rail injectors...
